WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

WHAT DO YOU DO IN JAPAN?

I studied in Japan, worked with INOAC and traveled to Japan every year for self discovery vacation.

WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JAPAN?

I studied in Japan by sponsored by AOTS JP & began to love & learn the culture. I want to know more about the history, culture and its people. I also want to learn the language.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STAY IN THIS CITY?

I was under the scholarship of AOTS studying Japanese Corporate Management. I stayed in the dormitory near Abiko Station. It was a quiet place but after class, we would always go to Shinsaibashi.

WHERE IS YOUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION IN THIS CITY?
  1. Tateyama- pls see the Old Edo Period Town, Eat Hida Beef, and then go to Shirakawago
  2. Nagano- visit the Snow Monkeys
  3. Nagoya- Visit the Noritake Gardens and experience the Noritake Porcelain Painting
  4. Tokyo- Visit the amazing Mt Fuji, do cat cafe
  5. Toyama- Visit the Tateyama Alpine Route — amazing view!
  6. Osaka- visit Osaka Castle, Shinsaibashi, Umeda and Dotonbori
  7. Hiroshima- visit the Peace Memorial, take the ferry to Miyajima to see the wonderful Tori Gate in the waters and the Itsukushina Shrine
WHAT DID YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE STAYING ABROAD?

I enjoyed experiencing the culture, eating the food, and talking to Japanese people. I feel their warmth and patience. I really love to live in Japan.

WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE BEING IN JAPAN?

The biggest challenge at first is to navigate the train station and subway. Language was difficult at first but I enjoyed learning it.

DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS AFTER YOU START YOUR JOURNEY?

Ichi go, Ichi e– my friends taught me that the experience will only come once in a lifetime and will never be the same again so it is better to enjoy every moment. Live life to the fullest and enjoy what is in front of you.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

I want to find the best of myself by staying true to my passion. I want to travel and learn. My dream is also to conquer all 47 prefectures of Japan and someday I hope I can retire and live in Japan.

HOW DO YOU LEARN JAPANESE?

I enrolled in the Japan Foundation Language Class sponsored by the Japanese Government. I continue to learn by listening to podcasts, youtube and continuing to read my Minna no Nihonggo book.
