Since I studied fashion in university and had the chance to be an exchange student in Nagoya 4 years ago, I want to get a working visa to pursue my dream of being a fashion designer in Japan.

Because my hometown in Italy is a very small town, I always dreamt about living in a big city and Tokyo was honestly the best choice I had, since I already enjoyed Nagoya.
- WHERE IS YOUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION IN THIS CITY?

Since I like the fashion world in my opinion Harajuku and Ebisu are the best places to go about it, for the nightlife definitely Shibuya because it’s full of clubs and bars, Ueno if you’re looking for a nice place to have a date and the view of the rainbow bridge is very stunning.
- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE LIVING IN JAPAN?

The fact that I can get whatever I want and need at any time, as I said before I used to live in a small town, in Italy we don’t have convenience stores, so for me it’s still crazy that I can have the chance to do that.
- WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE BEING IN JAPAN?

Learn as quickly as possible the language, kanji, and grammar structures to integrate into the society to fully live the experience of living in Japan.
- WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN JAPAN AND YOUR COUNTRY?

Too many. In Italy, a lot of people are rude and act as if they have never been educated, the food is a completely different taste, stores close very early, transportation is very bad and always late and the streets are always dirty.
- DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS?

The change in my life is that I lost a lot of weight since I came here, which helped me to appreciate myself more and motivated me to keep on chasing my dream, of being here for my entire life.
- WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

My dream is to make my own fashion brand, but above that the dream I have is that I want to work for Rei Kawakubo from Comme des Garcons. I’ve studied here at university and made my thesis about it, I think she is a genius.
- MESSAGE TO OUR FRIENDS WHO WILL GO TO JAPAN.

Japanese is fun to learn, it helps you to understand other people’s points of view and emotions and makes you able to get what their culture is. But you better be ready to study a language that is different from yours, so you need to be convinced.
