WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

WHAT DO YOU DO IN JAPAN?

This year I started to travel frequently to Japan, ’cause my boyfriend moved from Mexico to Tokyo. So I began to discover the treasures of this amazing country for deciding if I’ll move to Japan next year.

WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JAPAN?

Actually, I’m discovering Japan, all my life I was dreaming of other countries, especially the Middle East. Until my boyfriend introduced me to the food, music, and beautiful landscapes of Japan.

Today I’m in love with this country, especially ’cause the culture, the traditions, the values, and that incredible spiritual connection with nature. As a pedagogue, I’m interested in studying educational policy and the philosophy of education in Japan. Also, I want to paint Japanese landscapes to connect people from other nationalities to this country. I have a lot of plans to do in Japan, I’m so grateful and excited.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STAY IN THIS CITY?

I stayed in Tokyo, there are a lot of things you can visit. All kinds of museums, restaurants, galleries, parks, hidden temples, theaters, malls, and that incredible underground city on the subway. Also, I was in Kyoto, it was a special trip for me, ’cause I connected myself with the temples and nature. I love to sit and meditate while listening to the sounds of Kyoto. Walk at those famous streets in Higashiyama and smell the scent of the incense stores, wonderful.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THIS CITY?

In Kyoto, I think that is Higashiyama, I love the traditional houses and also the temples: Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, and Kiyomizu-dera, I create a special bond with this place. Of course Nara, I think is my favorite place. In Tokyo, I love to walk in the park of Ueno, Ginza and Sugamo, Itabashi.

WHAT DID YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE STAYING ABROAD?

I enjoy the wonderful Sakura landscapes, the spiritual connection with nature, Japanese food that is one of the four World Heritage foods, the kindness of the people, and the infrastructure. It is an amazing country.

DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS AFTER YOU START YOUR JOURNEY?

A lot, discovering Japan is a new challenge for me, at first because I want to learn the language, then I want to study anthropology or educational sciences in Japan. I have a lot of plans.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

My dreams are not the same all the time… my biggest dream is to have peace and love in my life. But I could say that love my family, I want to write a book, paint a lot of landscapes, speak Japanese, and improve my Turkish.

And of course, travel a lot to discover all the wonders of Japan and the world.

MESSAGE TO OUR FRIENDS WHO WILL GO TO JAPAN.

Discover Japan, which will make you connect with the spiritual part of yourself, and will make you kind and grateful to experience your senses: see landscapes, smell nature, feel calm, listen to animals, water, and wind, taste the values and traditions in amazing dishes… You will walk a lot, so your body will be thankful. Japan is a country to be thankful for life.

HOW DO YOU LEARN JAPANESE?

At first, I’m learning hiragana, also I’m watching series in Japanese, and I’Il start classes nearly.
