WHAT DO YOU DO IN JAPAN?

First time when I visited Japan for traveling and talking with local people (Japanese people) to improve my Japanese language ability. Now, I’m living in Japan with my husband. We love traveling and hunting local foods, together.

WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JAPAN?

Japan is very interesting because there are many festivals, hidden gems ( sightseeing spots ), many cute train designs, local foods, Anime, Japanese Songs, Dorama, etc. Recently, I was interested in the KABUKI show. it’s like theater presents old stories in Japan around the Edo Period, etc.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STAY IN THIS CITY?

I’m staying in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Tohoku, Japan. This city is very quiet with very kind and polite local people. There are not many foreigners in this city although Akita has many beautiful places for taking photos in each season. Akita dog is very famous because of the story “Hachiko” and everyone who’s dog lover may know this story. Besides, Akita has high-quality Rice, and “Kiritanpo” is a typical food of Akita.

WHERE IS YOUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION IN THIS CITY?

I recommend a Special Restaurant in Akita City with the nice entertainment of “NAMAHAGE” show while having dinner. Delicious local foods, Kiritanpo, Hata hata Fish, Iburigakko, etc. We can enjoy traveling in nature. Mountains, Waterfalls, Lakes, Springs, Hot Springs ( Onsen ), etc. There interesting museum about “Kanto Festival” in Akita City.

WHAT DID YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE STAYING ABROAD?

I really enjoy walking around in Japan. especially in spring and autumn because the weather is very good for outdoor activities. In Japan, there are seasonal vegetables and fruits, and we know that season already changed by shopping in supermarkets or Groceries. Haha There are many things to enjoy in Japan.

DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS AFTER YOU START YOUR JOURNEY?

I learned much and there many opportunities for living in Japan. Japanese cuisines ( Washoku 和食 ) are very healthy and have balanced nutrition. Live more healthily because walk around 10.000 steps a day. In Japan there are many part-time jobs, so many opportunities for growing up career. My Japanese Language ability is better than before but I’m still learning and practicing.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

I have a dream but now I’m focusing on finishing many goals to reach that dream. My next goal, build and grow a business with many relations as a bridge between my country and Japan.

MESSAGE TO OUR FRIENDS WHO WILL GO TO JAPAN.

Decide your destination in Japan for traveling or working. Learn the Japanese Language because if you understand the local language ( Japanese ) your journey will be going as planned. If you act polite other people will do the same thing for you. Knowing the rules in Japan is also important. Make many friends and relations.

HOW DO YOU LEARN JAPANESE?

I learn Japanese by myself, hear Japanese songs, internet, books, etc. But I thought that was not enough so I attended a Japanese Class to improve my conversation ability with my classmates. And I travel to Japan to practice conversation with Japanese People.
