Interview – Study in Japan

Q&A

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Italy

WHY DO YOU STUDY JAPANESE?

It’s been my dream since 2017 to study Japanese and discover the place and culture, and with JTIS school it was so easy and fun at the same time. I’m so grateful to everyone for making this experience so wonderful and for reminding me that if I work hard my dream can come true!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL?

Study at「JTIS – JAPAN TOKYO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL」in Tokyo.

I like everything. When you come in for the lessons everyone smiles at you and is kind, the teachers are helpful and kind people and the location is very close to everything.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STAY IN THIS CITY?

I chose to live for this short period in Saitama Prefecture in Asaka. I found myself very well because it is well connected and a few steps from the train station. I lived in a shared house and thanks to this experience I made a lot of friends with people from all over the world.

I love Tokyo, there are a lot of things to do and for a curious and energetic pear like me, it’s the perfect city!

WHERE IS YOUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION IN THIS CITY?

I’ve been to dinner several times (being a meat lover) at the Yakiniku restaurant in Roppongi. The restaurant’s name is Roppongi Futago Yakiniku, where the hospitality of the staff and the exquisite flavor of the meat together with a few glasses of sake made the evenings in Japan always beautiful.

Not being able to say all the beautiful things I was able to visit, I was really struck by Yoyogi Park near Harajuku for its immensity and tranquility and for anime and manga lovers, Akihabara is the obligatory stop.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST WHILE LIVING IN JAPAN?

People. being able to communicate with them and being able to convey happiness and how much I care about their culture and their place.

And the second place of course the food, I love it so much Japanese cuisine and I’m obsessed with takoyaki!

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE BEING IN JAPAN?

The distance from home was very difficult and my family felt it very little having 9 hours of time difference. for the rest, I didn’t find any difficulties because Japan made me feel at home.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN JAPAN AND YOUR COUNTRY?

There are no Kombini. (I miss 7 eleven so much), people always are mad and they don’t take off their shoes before entering the house or the dressing rooms. For smoking and drinking alcohol the age is +18 and girls look much older than they are for the makeup and dress ( Japanese girls are so cute and they look younger than they look like )

DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE PROSPECTS?

I would like to work in Japan as a future plan. I will have to make many sacrifices and study the language more to achieve this. my dream job would be to work in a hotel chain in Japan because I like contact with people and I hope one day to be able to make my dreams come true.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?

Japan saved me when I was little because I had a hard time and I wanted to be happy and stay in a place I can call Home. I have visited some cities in Japan and I wish I could live in Nara or Kawagoe because they impressed me.

MESSAGE TO OUR FRIENDS WHO WILL GO TO JAPAN.

Let’s start and stay focused on your goals! Japan is the solution to all your problems and will make you happy!! If you want to study Japanese I suggest you stay in a big city to improve better the language with native speakers.
