COURSES

Long-Term Japanese Course

ISI Language School Kyoto’s long-term programs are structured for students who plan to study Japanese seriously—whether for university entrance, career purposes or deep language proficiency. Classes typically run over 20 weeks to 2 years, with full-time schedules covering comprehensive language skills: grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking. The school supports student visa applications and offers enrollment for January, April, July and October intakes. Courses develop both everyday communicative ability and academic readiness, with options such as JLPT preparation and specialized electives to match future goals.

Short-Term Japanese Course

The short-term Japanese course at ISI Language School Kyoto is designed for students who want to study Japanese intensively for shorter stays (from 2 to 20 weeks). These classes focus on core language skills and practical communication for daily life in Japan—perfect for travelers, summer study participants or learners preparing for longer future study. Students from varied backgrounds study together in small to moderate class sizes, enabling active participation and personalized attention from instructors. The short-term program requires no student visa if the duration is under 6 months.

ACCOMMODATION

Student House

ISI Language School Kyoto supports student housing options such as student houses near campus. Rooms are available in single and twin formats and include essential furniture (bed, desk, chair), air conditioning, refrigerator and internet. These accommodations are typically within walking distance to the school (around 13 minutes), offering a safe, comfortable living environment for both short-term and long-term learners. Shared facilities like kitchens help students interact and practice Japanese outside class, while convenience to transportation and local amenities makes daily life easy.

Dormitory

Another option is the exclusive Saga-Arashiyama International House, located about 7 minutes’ walk from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station. This dormitory features twin rooms with individual beds, closets, desks, chairs and internet access. Shared dining rooms, kitchens with IH stoves, gender-segregated showers and toilets, and laundry facilities provide comfort and practicality. Living near the scenic Arashiyama area allows students to enjoy cultural spots like bamboo groves and temples while studying. This housing suits students looking for a community atmosphere alongside their Japanese studies.
