COURSES

Short-Term Japanese Course

The Short-Term Japanese Course at ISI Tokyo is designed for learners who want to improve practical Japanese in as little as 2 weeks, without needing a student visa. This course focuses on everyday communication, vocabulary, grammar and listening/speaking skills, giving students confidence in real-life Japanese. Students also participate in cultural activities and exchange opportunities, helping language practice beyond the classroom. Short-term study is ideal for travellers, working holiday holders or those preparing for longer-term study plans, providing a solid foundation in Japanese while experiencing life in Tokyo.

Long-Term Japanese Course

ISI Tokyo’s Long-Term Japanese Language Course supports full-time language study (over 6 months) with student visa assistance. This structured program covers comprehensive Japanese skills—speaking, listening, reading and writing—alongside JLPT and academic preparation for university or vocational paths. Elective options such as business Japanese, career Japanese and cultural courses help students tailor study to goals like employment or further education. With regular intakes in January, April, July and October, students can join classes throughout the year and receive ongoing support from multilingual staff.

ACCOMMODATION

Student Dormitory / Shared Residence

ISI Tokyo offers access to student dormitories and shared residences near campus. These student houses typically include a private room and shared kitchens, bathrooms and laundry facilities, allowing learners to live independently while practicing Japanese daily. Shared housing fosters friendships with peers and supports cultural adjustment in a central Tokyo setting. Rates vary depending on room type and location, so students should contact the school for up-to-date pricing and availability.

Homestay

Homestay placements are available where students live with a Japanese host family. This is an excellent way to practice conversational Japanese daily, experience Japanese home life and deepen cultural understanding. Homestays usually include a private bedroom and may include meals depending on the arrangement. This option suits learners who want structured language exposure outside class and a supportive environment while studying in Tokyo.
