About homestay
When you homestay, it is important to respect and understand the lifestyle of the family.
Please make an effort to live comfortably by understanding yourself and the host family.
For this purpose, please have ongoing communication, and do not hesitate to ask questions to the host family.Even if you are not comfortable with the language, you can keep active communication by drawing pictures, showing gestures, etc.
Rather than greeting the host family as a customer, let’s have a sense of “becoming part of the family.”
Please read the following notes and general rules before meeting the host family:
⸻
- Lifestyle of each day
• Inform the host family when you will come home.
• Inform the host family of your weekend schedule.
• When you go shopping or eat out with the host family, please pay your own share. If they pay for you, be sure to say thank you.
• To avoid worrying them, always let your host family know where you’re going and when you’ll return.
• Avoid going out at night unless necessary. If you’ll be late or stay elsewhere, make sure to contact them.
• Depending on the household, the host may do your laundry or you may be asked to do it yourself — please check.
