COURSES
Study Abroad / Long-Term Japanese Course
UNITAS Kofu’s Study Abroad Program supports long-term Japanese study with student visa assistance, allowing enrollment from 1 year 3 months to 2 years. Courses include a preparatory track for higher education and a general language track, both emphasizing the four core skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students progress through levels based on placement testing and receive guidance for JLPT, EJU and further academic goals. As part of the Teikyo University Group, opportunities for university recommendations and progression are available for qualifying students.
Short-Term Japanese Course
UNITAS also offers Short-Term Japanese Courses designed for learners who come with a short-stay visa (1–3 months) or who want accelerated practical Japanese study without long-term commitment. These classes focus on everyday communication, vocabulary and comprehension in a multicultural setting. Short-term learners benefit from structured lessons, class interaction and opportunities to participate in local cultural experiences. This flexible option suits travelers, working holiday participants and residents who want to improve Japanese while living in the scenic region near Mt. Fuji.
ACCOMMODATION
Student Dormitory / Shared Housing

Complete the school application, prepare required documents, and begin fulfilling the 150-hour study requirement.

Submit application documents, pay the school application fee, and secure your place successfully.

Make payment to the school after receiving the official invoice.

Research and book your accommodation, then book your flights to Japan.
*Mid-February – March
Receive your Certificate of Eligibility and visit your local Japanese embassy to obtain your visa.

UNITAS was established in 1970 with the aim of fostering global citizens through language education, and students from many countries study here. We hope that students studying at our school will be exposed to various aspects of Japanese culture –including literature and art— through the study of Japanese language, see the country and its people their own eyes, without prejudice or preconceived notions.
